Local Business Photoshoot and Drone Media
Tried and True Window Washing is a local business based out of Ann Arbor, MI, started by Tim Paul over fifteen years ago. Tim was working on his elementary and special education teaching degree at Eastern Michigan University when he realized there was an opportunity to grow in business by building relationships throughout the community. When I worked with Tim, I quickly realized that he lives out this mindset, making friends with every client and making sure everyone feels seen, cared about, and appreciated.
I worked with Tim for multiple local business photoshoots, helping him update his brand image through high-quality service photography. Our first photoshoot was in the spring of 2024, where we captured images to use on mailer postcards. I returned to work with Tim again the following spring, capturing more photos including drone imagery to highlight his work.

I love partnering with local business owners to help them build their brand portfolio, especially business owners who clearly care about their clients like Tim Paul. It was quickly clear that Tim cares about more than just washing windows - he cares about building relationships, putting people at ease through fun conversations, and getting the job done with excellence. As a resident of the Metro Detroit community myself, I love meeting business owners like Tim and seeing what they offer to residents in the area.
For this particular photoshoot, I used a Sony a6600 camera and DJI Mini 2 drone. I was able to capture high-quality photos of Tim at work, showcasing his skills and bringing his vision to life.
Business Drone Media
I enjoyed the opportunity to use my DJI Mini 2 drone to capture aerial media for Tried and True Window Washing. Tim’s work doesn’t always happen on the ground - he’s often up on the roof, cleaning hard-to-reach places on local homes. It was fun to bring this multi-dimensional approach to his photoshoot, experimenting with angles and height to take things to the next level.
At D Morby Media, our aerial drone media team members are FAA Part 107 licensed, providing commercial and residential drone photography and videography. We work with DJI drones, including a DJI Mini 2, DJI Mini 4 Pro, and DJI Mavic 3 Pro. It’s been fun to upgrade and build a portfolio of drone equipment over the years as we’ve grown D Morby Media.
We utilize additional drone equipment to make shoots smooth and efficient, such as a FPVtosky Reflective Drone Landing Pad to make takeoff and descent easy. Once we capture photos and video from different angles, we edit footage in DaVinci Resolve and Lightroom and provide clients with a Dropbox folder of high-quality media. Clients use these photos and videos in marketing, website media, print mailers, and more.
